This role is backend-heavy, ideal for someone who thrives in early-stage chaos, balances quality with velocity, and loves shipping fast.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and scale backend systems (Python, FastAPI, Django)
- Work across distributed systems, task queues (Pub/Sub, RabbitMQ, Celery, Temporal), and containerized infrastructure (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Implement feature flags, observability, and monitoring (Grafana, Prometheus, Sentry)
- Ship features quickly and iteratively alongside a small, collaborative team
- Help shape engineering standards, deployment pipelines, and product direction
- Contribute to (or lead) AI and data features — LLMs, enrichment, scoring — if that’s your thing
What We're Looking For
- Strong Python skills and experience building scalable APIs
- Solid understanding of distributed systems, task queues, and observability
- Comfortable in fast-paced environments with minimal structure
- Clear communicator with a builder’s mindset
- Bonus: hands-on experience with AI, ML, or data science — even a side project, LLM experiment, or scrappy data pipeline counts
